Jackie Blackman have been lovingly creating luxury interiors from our base in St. Albans, Hertfordshire for more than 40 years. We specialise in handmade curtains, blinds, cushions, bespoke upholstery and everything soft furnishings such as pelmets, bedspreads, window seat cushions and valances that are second to none in terms of quality and finish.

All our soft furnishings are handmade at our Hertfordshire workrooms from our extensive range of designer fabrics from leading suppliers.

With Jackie overseeing the team from our Hertfordshire base, located some 20 miles north of London, we work for both private clients, and with a portfolio of interior designers and developers to supply stunning interiors. Our base in Hertfordshire means that we can service clients throughout the home counties including in St. Albans, Harpenden, Berkhamsted, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth, across Buckinghamshire, in North and West London and down into Surrey and Hampshire.

We also work for a range of international clients and our expert team have made and fitted for clients on several continents at locations including in Switzerland, South Africa, the USA and several prestigious houses and development in the Caribbean.

We are pleased to say that also almost all of our clients come back to us again and again, with relationships nurtured over many years and we feel this speaks to the quality and professionalism of our work.

As ‘the’ professional curtain makers, we offer a combination of personal service and a quality, luxury finish in everything we do to create beautiful, luxury interiors and soft furnishings. We work closely with both interior designer, developers and private clients to create exceptional interiors that are designed for modern living. 

Our free measuring service includes advise and ideas based on you and your requirements. We will spend time discussing and understanding your vision and will then source the suitable fabrics from our extensive range of designer fabrics from leading suppliers. Following the making phase, installation will then follow based around our clients timetable and will be carried out by our experienced fitters.

We do and have worked on a wide range of fantastic homes, including townhouses, cottages, penthouses, high end developments, country residences, modern apartments, mews houses, manor houses and a multitude of other prestigious homes. Our projects also vary in size from one room to a complete substantial home or full-scale development. Regardless of the project, rest assured we endeavour to create spaces that reflect our client’s style, taste and personality. The goal for our warm, friendly and adaptable team is to work closely with every client to build long term relationships.
