We have been supplying and fitting bespoke blinds from our base in St. Albans, for more than 40 years to clients across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Surrey and Hampshire. Our made to measure Window blinds are top quality and come in a number of different styles including Roman blinds, Roller blinds, Wooden Venetian blinds, Pleated blinds and Panels, as well as Cassette blinds for total blackout which sit within the window frame. In addition, Jackie Blackman supply and fit fantastic blackout and fabric Velux blinds for those roof or high up windows.

Our most popular style of fabric blind is a Roman blind. These are handmade and lovingly created by our expert team of high-quality craftsmen and women. Our Roman blinds are lined and interlined as standard. The blinds hang flat and square when down, usually covering the outer recess of the window reveal, however our experienced fitters can also fit them neatly into the recess if required. They are mounted on specific regulatory child-safe systems with sidewinder chains, that draw the blind up into even folds to the height required for a beautiful finish. When down, the full pattern is visible, giving a full picture of fabric at the window. We recommend that all of our Roman blinds to be situated in bedrooms should be blackout lined and interlined as standard.

Many of our clients choose our ever-popular Voile Roller blinds which sit in the recess of the window and offer excellent daytime privacy. The benefit of the Voile Roller blind is that you are able to see out through the blind, which also bring light into the room, but only shadowy images can be seen from the outside creating much needed privacy.

Our Roller blinds are normally made from fabric supplied by our top-quality manufacturer. However, we can and often do decide to use the same curtain fabric selected for the curtains or other accessories which is then laminated and made into a matching luxury roller blind. This then compliments the rest of the room, or interior colour palette.

Our Roller blinds are usually sited in the recess and will raise to the top of the window, which makes them extremely subtle and discreet. Our Roller blinds can also be made reverse rolled, so the fabric is visible on the face when the blind is up to show off the pattern of the material. In addition, Roller blinds are a good way to block out even more light from outside when located close to the glass of the window. Our selection of Roller blinds can also be blackout as and when required.

As well as the most popular Roman and Roller blinds, we also offer several other styles of blinds including Wood-slat Venetian blinds which are usually recess fitted, and also Pleated blinds, again fitted in the recess and are made with small folds for an understated style and finish. In addition, we can measure for, supply and fit window shutters from our stylish collection. As you might expect, these are high quality, expertly fitted and are built to last.
