Jackie Blackman offers a comprehensive and wide-ranging upholstery service from our base in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. Our upholstery is lovingly created by our expert team of high-quality and experienced craftsmen and women. With Jackie overseeing the team from our Hertfordshire base, located some 20 miles north of London, we work for both private clients, and with a portfolio of interior designers and developers to offer commercial upholstery services, with the simple goal of supplying stunning, luxury upholstered sofa's, chairs, seating, stools, ottoman's, headboards and much more.

As professional curtain makers and upholsters in Hertfordshire with more than 40 years’ experience, we are happy to discuss all types of upholstery projects; whether a greatly loved individual item which needs to be recovered, or a large set of dining room chairs or a beloved and comfy sofa. We can re-cover, repair, and restore both antique family heirlooms and modern, contemporary items needing some TLC or a facelift.

All our luxury upholstery is hand made at our Hertfordshire workrooms from our extensive range of designer fabrics from leading suppliers. We specialise in the upholstery of antique chairs and sofas and our work is second to none in terms of quality and finish. From minor repairs to final polishing, we will take care of everything with a high level of attention to detail.

We are happy to carry out anything from small minor repairs to complete stripping and re-building of a cherished old sofa. Fabric Walls

In addition, and related to our luxury upholstery services, we also have vast experience in creating stunning fabric walls. Fabric walling is an elegant finish intended to make a room feel beautiful, comfortable, and acoustically sound. Your chosen fabric is applied to a wall, room or space creating a smooth fluidity and tailored look unlike wall panels or a paper-backed fabric.

From our base in St. Albans, Jackie Blackman specialises in fabric walls in Hertfordshire, and these are expertly created by our experienced team of high-quality craftsmen and women. 

Prior to fitting, the walls are battened and wadded to create a padded finish and then having meticulously machine stitched drops of fabric together with the pattern matching precisely, if necessary, we then fit one piece of fabric per wall. Our technique is created on-site and tailored to the individual room itself.

All are fabric walls are bespoke, handmade, and lovingly created from our extensive range of designer fabrics and finishes from leading suppliers.

Headboards

Our team specialise in making new headboards in a multitude of shapes, styles and sizes. Headboards are an upright panel forming or placed behind the head of a bed and offer increased comfort and style.
