Jackie Blackman offers a full mix of beautiful, bespoke soft furnishings and interior accessories. Items such as cushions, valances, bedspreads, loose covers, and window seats can apply the finishing touch to any room and really complete the space. All our accessories are handmade at our Hertfordshire workrooms from our extensive range of designer fabrics from leading suppliers, lovingly created by our expert team of high-quality craftsmen and women.

Cushions

New or additional cushions are a really simple way to bring together and complete a room and are also a creative way to introduce style, colour, and texture. Our expert team can produce any size of cushion you require, and these can be supplied with either feather, or feather and down inners to suit your requirements.

We have an extensive portfolio of bespoke, designer fabrics from leading suppliers, which means that the range of fabric possibilities from which to choose is vast. Whether vivid florals, crushed and patterned velvets, faux fur in many varieties, subtle plain pops of colour or striking stripes, we can create cushions to suit all tastes and interiors.

We supply and use trimmings from the leading suppliers in the industry. Trimmings are used to complete the cushion and can include items such as tassel trim, piping of any colour, narrow and wide braids and a large variety of beading and gimps. Sympathetic trimmings can totally transform a cushion, and we are on-hand to discuss and advise to ensure you obtain the look and feel you desire.

For more formal settings, we also manufacture bolster cushions. Our Bolsters are made with sunburst ends for that luxury finish and can be supplied in any size required. These are made with FR foam inners as standard.

In addition to cushions, we also supply handmade bench, window and box seating and window seats. These bespoke items are beautifully made to measure by our specialist team. All are window seats and box, and bench seating is piped, zipped, and filled with FR foam inners with Dacron wrap for that luxury look and feel that is second to none.

Valances

Jackie Blackman supply luxury made to measure valances which are beautifully made by our experienced team of high-quality craftsmen and women. Our team create valances for all styles and sizes of bed, from the standard single or classic double, to king-size, queen, or emperor sized beds. 

Our handmade valances have kick pleat corners, pleats halfway up the sides, and borders finished with a lining centre and fabric top for that perfect, made to measure luxury finish. We find that our bespoke valances really finish off the look of a bed, and indeed the room, and give that luxury visual feel to your space.

Bedspreads & Bed Throws

Our experienced team also supply made to measure bedspreads & bed throws. These can be lovingly created in a fabric and finish of your choice, from our extensive range of designer fabrics from leading suppliers. Bedspreads are normally finished to drape over the end of the bed and are usually one width of fabric wide. 

Our bedspreads are fabric lined or lining finished and can be supplied for all styles and sizes of bed, from the standard single or classic double, to king-size, queen, or emperor sized beds.

We are happy to discuss your needs and our bed throws can be made with added satin borders or coloured edges as required. Our bedspreads are all made to measure and can be supplied in various materials including wool, boucle, or soft velvet with edging details.

Loose covers & Slipcovers

Our loose covers and slipcovers are hand made by our team in Hertfordshire. Loose covers or sofa covers as they are sometimes known are a removable fitted cover for a sofa or chair and are the perfect way to renew the look of or protect your furniture. Our luxury made to measure loose covers can be produced in a various sizes, shapes, and fabrics from leading suppliers to really complement the room.

Our loose covers and loose cover skirts for sofa’s, fit perfectly over your sofa cushion inner and as such can be removed and cleaned and then replaced making them both practical and stylish. Our experienced team of seamstresses produce hand made loose covers and cover skirts from our base in St. Albans.

In addition, our team also produce made to measure slipcovers from our workrooms across Herefordshire. As always, our slip covers are handmade and designed to be placed over your beds headboard. Again, these are easily removable and so can be cleaned and then replaced making them both stylish and practical. Headboard slipcovers are therefore a great way to renew your look or protect. Our luxury made to measure slipcovers can be produced in a various sizes, shapes, and fabrics from leading suppliers to suit your needs.
